At Cabinet, we’ve been taking the healthcare industry by storm and have launched the world’s first sustainable, fully compostable, refillable medicine system. We’re on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic in medicine and are looking for a Sr. Production and Fulfillment Operations Manager to help us continue to bring sustainable products to customers reliably as we scale our retail, enterprise, and e-commerce channels.

About the Role

Cabinet’s Sr. Production and Fulfillment Operations Manager will be an integral part of the Operations team and will be responsible for day-to-day functions for our downstream operations. These include, but are not limited to, working collaboratively with our Sr. Planning and Supply Chain Manager to coordinate material logistics to our co-packing partners, overseeing production and quality, maintaining relationships with all of our key production and fulfillment partners, and overseeing fulfillment across all of our sales channels. Where applicable, this role will also drive and support various strategic operations/special projects initiatives, as needed. The expectation is this role will learn the business and build a team to ensure all areas of our production and fulfillment process are operating efficiently and smoothly. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to structure and build out SOP processes, optimizing our production and fulfillment capabilities to maximize margin, and other cross-functional and strategic products, as needed.

Remote-first but in-office at our Brooklyn, NYC co-working space, as-needed. Travel to partner facilities, as-needed.

This role will report to the Vice President of Operations.

What You’ll Do:

Production Management

● Work collaboratively with production partners to ensure high-quality products are available for all sales channels, through SOPs, on-site oversight and weekly meetings.

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day management of production, including Cabinet Health, private label and other brands.
  • Create and own fulfillment SOPs to ensure high-quality and scalable processes.

● Maintain current production while continuously looking for opportunities to implement

improvements that optimize product, cost and quality.

● Leverage insights from the CX team and work cross-functionally to translate customer

feedback into product improvements.

Quality Management

● Build out quality management processes and tracker to keep accurate documentation.

  • Set and hold all partners accountable to the highest quality standards, documenting instances of deficiency and associated remedied action.
  • Document quality instances for in-market products and associated remedied action.

● Manage and coordinate 3rd party sampling/testing processes with quality partners.

● Ensure compliance with all FDA, CPSC, customs and other regulations, and work with partners to build compliant processes.

Logistics & Fulfillment Management

● Manage inbound and outbound shipments from suppliers and fulfillment centers from

pick-up to delivery (both international and domestic suppliers).

  • Manage and maintain control over all shipping paperwork and ensure strong communication between forwarders, suppliers, manufacturers and fulfillment partners.
  • Manage and maintain control over all supplier paperwork and required certificates, including quality documents (COAs).
  • Monitor and manage current flow of customer orders across all channels to ensure OTIF delivery within SLAs (DTC, Amazon FBA, E-Tailers, Retailers etc.)

● Build SOPs and KPIs and hold partners accountable to those metrics through

quarterly quality assessments.

  • Create and own fulfillment SOPs to ensure high-quality and scalable pack outs.
  • Create and own fulfillment KPIs to manage expectations and ensure high-quality customer experience.

● Maintain current logistics and fulfillment network while looking for opportunities to identify and implement improvements that optimize costs and SLA targets.

  • Work collaboratively with Sr. Planning and Supply Chain manager to provide and communicate updated forecasts with partners.

● Collaborate closely with the CX team to coordinate best-in-class customer experience.

● Own and project manage product launch fulfillment plans to ensure they are executed to completion.

Strategic Projects

● Drive and support the exploration and execution of short-term and long-term strategic operations / special projects that will drive operational efficiency for the business and/or

enhance overall customer experience. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Transitioning to a new fulfillment partner.
  • Identifying appropriate technology solutions to support retail.
  • Implementing or improving processes for value-added services (e.g. Cabinet Refresh Bags).
  • Exploring and identifying new creative solutions to drive down cost of goods and shipping costs.

Who You Are

● 8+ years of consumer-based operations experience.

● 4+ years of in-depth/hands-on experience working with retail partners with a thorough understanding of the requirements, technology and processes required.

● Familiar and comfortable navigating Shopify+, Amazon Seller Central and SPS Commerce, along with other vendor portals.

● Analytically driven and able to turn qualitative and quantitative data into insight and actionable performance.

● Highly adaptable and organized, able to leverage multiple sources and platforms to generate solutions.

● Proactive self-starter, always a few steps ahead.

● Effective and empathetic communicator.

● Problem solver with the ability to distill ambiguous information and create actionable recommendations and solutions.

● Highly detailed-oriented and able to dive into the weeds to achieve desired outcomes but also able to see the ‘bigger picture’ to drive decision making.

● Understands when things require precision and accuracy and where 80% gets you to the desired outcome (able to work fast and accurate, and don't view them as trade-offs).

● Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

● Infinitely curious and excited to disrupt an antiquated industry.

● BS or BA degree.

● Investment banking or consulting experience is a plus.

● Experience with FDA regulated medical devices, medications or supplements is a plus.

● Knowledge/experience of Six Sigma or Lean is a plus.
