About the right team member

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team! This role will be focused on the accurate and timely accounting of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), with an emphasis on partner payouts and global payment operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sharp analytical skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach. They are comfortable independently managing a variety of tasks, collaborating both within the accounting team and cross-functionally, and tackling ad hoc projects with flexibility and precision. The successful candidate is a self-starter, an effective communicator, and highly detail oriented.

About the role

  • Own the monthly close process for COGS, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
  • Review and reconcile data feeds from internal systems and third-party vendors to validate accruals and payments
  • Collaborate with FP&A to analyze COGS trends, improve forecast accuracy, analyze month-over-month variances, and provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate with Tax and external auditors, supporting compliance and audit requirements
  • Oversee Latam Studio Payments and overall Latam payment operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Work closely with Latam outsourcing accounting firms to ensure compliance with regional regulations and efficient financial operations
  • Assist in developing, improving, and enforcing internal controls related to COGS and partner payments
  • Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting, process improvements, or system upgrades

Skills & experience

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and its application to operational and transactional accounting
  • Experience with monthly close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Clear and confident communicator who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, executives, and external partners
  • Self-starter with a hands-on mindset and a passion for solving problems and driving process improvements
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive with a strong sense of accountability
  • A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Highly proficient in MS office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in NetSuite or equivalent ERP applications a plus
  • Prior exposure to international operations and/or LATAM financial compliance is a plus
