ROLE SUMMARY
The Genetic Counseling Assistant for Everly Health’s Clinical Solutions Department will participate in all areas of clinical operations of genetic services offered by the company, as well as various responsibilities within the broader clinical solutions team. The core objective for the role is to assist the genetic counselors in delivering high-quality, consistent care in an innovative setting. The position is an opportunity to work with a tech-savvy leadership team on the forefront of expanding access to genetic expertise and data.

What You'll Do (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Assist in scheduling patients for genetic counseling consults
  • Monitor and triage the genetics department email and requests for assistance with phone-based outreach from the Patient Care Department
  • Conduct and manage online reviews of consumer-initiated genetic test requests
  • Assist the Clinical Solutions Department in the creation and maintenance of clinical protocols, standard operating procedures, training materials and integration with PWN platforms required to support the genetic counseling service.
  • Create and maintain schedules for coverage of daily responsibilities
  • Monitor genetic counselor availability to ensure adequate coverage for patient appointments
  • Collect and communicate improvements and ideas for technology development
  • Conduct ad hoc projects as requested.

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge or experience applying basic genetics principles
  • Tech-savvy, forward-thinking mindset towards the practice of genetic counseling.
  • Exhibits and drives a strong commitment to outstanding patient care, demonstrating both assertiveness and flexibility when appropriate.
  • Leads and behaves with the highest sense of integrity.
  • Comfortable in highly dynamic environments. Action-oriented with a flexible and entrepreneurial mind-set.
