We are hiring an Analytics Senior Manager for our consumer business to add tremendous value to our company in a critical role requiring both development of a consumer analytics strategy as well as hands-on execution. The Analytics Senior Manager will work both independently and with business stakeholders to build out an analytics roadmap, identifying the areas of the business that are ripe for analytics-driven insight, and analyze our data and turn it into useful information. This requires proficiency in business intelligence tools, strong database skills (SQL), a technical understanding of data architecture and modeling, and a strong business sense. Reporting directly to the General Manager of the consumer business, you will work with other analytics team members, business stakeholders, and data engineers to understand what our data means, where it is lacking, and how it can be modeled to make it available for analysis and visualization.
We are in high-growth startup mode and need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty. If you are passionate about both building out an analytics strategy and foundation, as well as tactically turning data into information that can be used to make better and faster business decisions, and are looking for an opportunity to learn, build, optimize, and grow in your career, Everly Health is the place for you.
What You'll Do:
- Develop a robust analytics strategy for the consumer business unit, building and executing a roadmap for analytics projects that support strategic goals
- Set best-in-class practices and technical standards for analytical processes, solutions development, and data management
- Partner with consumer business leaders on strategic initiatives such as annual and quarterly OKR planning, including helping to define how KPIs should be measured
- Collaborate with the data engineering organization to drive a unified customer data model; drive advanced analytics processes such as predictive analytics to inform customer segmentation and acquisition strategies
- Leverage AI to broaden the capacity of the analytics organization (e.g., find opportunities to use AI to aid in the building of data models)
- Strength the organization’s self-serve data capabilities (e.g., build a more robust set of Looker dashboards with validated data quality)
- Champion a data-centric culture within the organization, advocating for analytics and data literacy
- Analyze complex data sets, extracting insights using business intelligence tools like Looker, and distilling data into actionable insights for stakeholders
- Perform ad-hoc analyses that uncover the root causes of business trends, enabling deeper insights
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability through validation practices.
- Address data-related system integration challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve data workflows
Who You Are:
- 7+ years of experience in an analytical function
- Exceptional analytical ability, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to distill complex data sets into actionable insights
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to collaborate across functional areas to define, prioritize and implement analytics efforts
- Mastery of SQL and a solid understanding of data architecture and modeling
- Expert skill with a data visualization product like Looker
- A keen ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate expectations. When something’s not going well, you can autonomously figure out the root cause, and apply your learnings to quickly resolve the issue and underlying cause.
- Ability to identify and solve for underlying operational challenges and opportunities rather than simply executing prescribed processes
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-changing environment. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing best practices as you go!
