The Role

The Senior Director of Operations and Asset Management will play a critical role for both Life House and our Boston-based capital partner, overseeing the operations, management, and overall performance of a portfolio of upscale lifestyle hotels in destination markets throughout the U.S. This individual will be responsible for the strategic operational vision and managing the team of general managers and regional general managers in order to drive the financial performance of each hotel and ensure guest satisfaction.


  • Take responsibility and ownership of the financial performance of the hotels in this portfolio
  • Ensure a high level of employee engagement at each property at all levels of the organizational chart as well as guest engagement via an unparalleled and highly-curated guest experience
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, including financial analysis, annual plan budgeting, market research, and operational recommendations to enhance the value and performance of each asset
  • Provide effective people leadership of assigned hotels by attracting, motivating, developing, rewarding and retaining top talent
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our capital partner, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving issues promptly and successfully to uphold ownership satisfaction
  • Develop Annual Plans and Forecasts with the Revenue Management team
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Revenue, Marketing, and Development & Design, to drive optimal asset performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support the transition and opening/re-opening of new hotels in this growing portfolio

Who We Are Looking For

  • 6-10+ years of experience with 3+ years of leadership, hotel and F&B operations experience. *MUST have experience operating independent boutique/lifestyle properties
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven track record in, hotel operations, financial analysis, and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of general managers towards achieving strategic objectives
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building and nurturing relationships with corporate employees, general managers, and other property employees
  • Demonstrated ability to handle owner escalations effectively, with a customer-centric mindset and a dedication to finding mutually beneficial solutions
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to various properties and attend meetings

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $175K-$250K (commensurate with experience)
