What’s the Role:

As Little Spoon’s Demand Forecasting Manager, you will have the opportunity to improve our demand forecasts by refining and developing sophisticated models, analyze customer behavior data to answer critical business questions, and empower the company with data-driven decision making. This role will encompass a wide breadth of responsibilities, expand your analytical and strategic thinking, and allow you to gain experience in a fast-growing startup.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop accurate and reliable demand forecasts based on historical sales data, customer ordering behavior, and market trends for Little Spoon’s direct to consumer business
  • Create demand forecasting tools and processes for Little Spoon’s alternate distribution verticals
  • Lead continuous improvements of sophisticated models by identifying and implementing model optimization opportunities that will deliver increasingly accurate forecasts
  • Size the opportunity of new products and implement into the forecast
  • Utilize data to understand patterns of customer behavior, identify business trends, and develop recommendations to improve the Little Spoon experience
  • Design, automate and re-evaluate essential reporting for company leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the business, including Operations, Product, Marketing and Finance to refine demand forecasts based on information shared for improved accuracy

Who You Are:

  • 3-4 years of experience in demand forecasting role at a D2C or subscription-based company, preferred
  • Investment banking, management consulting, or related experience within a company
  • Expert at creating financial models and analyses in Excel and Google Sheets that exhibit a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to generate hypotheses, resourcefully gather and interpret data, execute analyses, and present key findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to effectively synthesize complex findings into action-oriented insights
  • Self-starter that thrives in an unstructured and fast-moving environment
  • You value diversity of thoughts, perspectives, and expression and believe that a diverse team makes better decisions, drives innovation, and delivers better business results

  • High-growth startup experience a plus
  • SQL knowledge a plus
  • Experience with subscription startups – namely in food – a plus
