About the Role:

As the first full-time data scientist at Little Spoon, you will play a critical role in empowering our Growth Marketing and Digital Product teams to drive scale using data-driven decision-making. Using your technical skills and business experience, you will help establish best practices in A/B testing, incrementality, and predictive modeling. As a foundational member of the Strategic Analytics team, you will take the testing, data, and insights capabilities of the business to the next level.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, oversee setup, and analyze experiments to quantify the impact of Growth Marketing investments and to enhance our understanding of Digital Product features.
  • Using customer behavioral data, surface actionable insights for key stakeholders to better understand and improve the customer journey.
  • Suggest innovative approaches to experimentation, increased implementation of predictive models, and strategic decision-making processes throughout our business.
  • Develop, implement, and refine core business measurement frameworks and models, including acquisition, attribution, incrementality, LTV, and payback
  • Raise the level of the Strategic Analytics team through your exemplary work, mentorship, and the introduction of best practices, processes, and tools.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of building statistical and machine learning models for marketing at an agency, top-tier consulting firm, or high-growth D2C startup.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar
  • Proficiency in SQL, R/Python, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills: ability to effectively synthesize complex findings into action-oriented insights and communicate them clearly to team members of all technical comprehension levels.
  • Self-starter who is able to manage multiple work streams, proactively making improvements to process & tools along the way.
  • Team player who loves collaborating with people and is willing to take on additional responsibility where necessary.
  • You value diversity of thoughts, perspectives, and expression and believe that a diverse team makes better decisions, drives innovation, and delivers better business results.

How You’ll Stand Out:

  • Compelling history of guiding and scaling growth marketing efforts
  • Data engineering experience
  • Tableau experience
  • Skilled with Powerpoint and Google Slides
  • Comfortable creating analyses in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with subscription startups – namely in food
