Overview

We are a fast-growing digital health startup revolutionizing cardiovascular care through wearable technology and advanced machine learning. Our platform integrates real-time biosensor data with clinical-grade algorithms to give healthcare providers actionable insights for heart failure management and vascular assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop native smartwatch applications using Swift/SwiftUI (Apple Watch) and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Wear OS)
  • Build robust UI components to support proposed UX designs, including alerts, paginations, and breadcrumbs
  • Integrate with BLE, HealthKit, Google Fit, and other health data frameworks
  • Perform unit testing for app builds and resolve issues raised by QA
  • Ensure consistent UX and performance across platforms (iOS and Android wearables)
  • Collaborate closely with backend, mobile, and product teams for seamless data flow and user experience
  • Work in agile sprints to iterate based on internal testing, user feedback, and clinical validation

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Build and ship MVP versions of the smartwatch apps for both watchOS and Wear OS
  • Achieve full integration with backend cardio-monitoring systems using BLE and health APIs
  • Implement robust error handling, smooth UX transitions, and battery-optimized logic
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize features based on clinical impact

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in mobile application development
  • Minimum 2 years building applications for wearable platforms (Apple Watch or Wear OS)
  • Proficiency in Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose
  • Experience working with health-related APIs, BLE connections, or real-time syncing logic
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX standards, responsive design, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work independently and iterate quickly in a startup environment
  • English fluency (written and spoken), with strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in healthcare, medtech, or fitness-related applications
  • Experience deploying and debugging wearable apps in both TestFlight and Google Play environments
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, secure data transmission, and HIPAA compliance principles

Role Details

  • Location: Offshore (must have overlap with US timezone)
  • Employment: Full-time, remote
  • Reporting to: Enterprise Architect
  • Interview Process: Technical interview + Management interview
  • Compensation: TBD
