Role Purpose
Ensure the consistent and effective execution of the company’s strategy in Mexico by coordinating local operations, teams, and alignment with product, so that defined priorities are translated into concrete results, with a high standard and sustained pace, reducing the founder’s day-to-day operational dependency.
Responsibilities
Operational execution
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable execution plans.
- Ensure follow-up, deadline compliance, and delivery closure.
- Resolve operational blockers autonomously.
- Maintain focus on results and progress, avoiding open loops.
Local team leadership
- Provide daily direction to the team in Mexico.
- Establish execution rhythm, clarity, and standards.
- Reduce passivity, ambiguity, and dependency.
- Ensure decisions are properly implemented.
Coordination with central teams
- Act as the operational point of contact between Mexico and central teams (Product, Commercial).
- Consolidate market feedback in a structured manner.
- Ensure product developments and commercial priorities are properly implemented in local operations.
Commercial execution support
- Ensure timely progress of key commercial processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to avoid operational friction.
- Unblock processes delayed due to lack of follow-up or execution.
Operational presence
- On-site work at the Mexico City office.
- Direct, hands-on support to the local team.
- Active participation in key operational meetings.
This role is not remote or hybrid.
Fluent English is required.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of professional experience.
- Strong background in operations, execution, or similar roles.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry, aftermarket, auto parts, B2B distribution, or comparable industrial industries.
- Practical knowledge of how the industry operates in Mexico (commercial dynamics, timelines, friction points).
- Experience leading small to mid-sized teams.
- Experience working with junior teams and low-structure environments.
- Experience in founder-led companies or growth-stage environments is highly valued.
