Job Description

  • Full-Time
  • Remote
  • 3.500 USD

Role Purpose

The Operations & Automation Lead owns delivery at the company. Ops is where the real problems live. This person sits at the intersection of operations, CS, and product. They feel the pain first, define what needs to be solved, and decide whether it gets solved with an automation, an AI agent, or a requirement for the dev team. They're not executing someone else's processes; they're shaping how the product evolves from the front lines. They lead a team of 5, own operational processes end-to-end, and act as a key internal consultant for product decisions. Success in this role is measured through operational delivery and process reliability.

What you'll do

Team leadership & process ownership

  • Lead and manage a team of 5 people in Operations.
  • Own functional process definition across CS and Revenue, identifying pain points before they become problems.
  • Document processes, flows, and integrations clearly.

Automation & AI execution

  • Define what gets automated vs. what gets built, and translate that into clear requirements for the dev team.
  • Build automations and AI-powered MVPs independently (Claude).
  • Manage and connect the operational stack: CRM (Attio), CS tools, dashboards.

Product collaboration

  • Act as internal product consultant, bringing the operational perspective into product decisions and roadmap.
  • Work closely with the Head of Ops & Cs and leadership to translate strategic needs into concrete solutions.

What we're looking for

  • 1–2 years of experience in Ops, at a startup (required).
  • Experience managing or leading teams (required).
  • Intermediate to advanced English and Spanish proficiency (required).
  • Has lived the gap between operations and product and knows how to bridge it.
  • Functional technical ability: basic code, not a software engineer.
  • Has built automations and AI-powered MVPs hands-on, not just familiar with the tools.
  • Familiarity with CRMs, ideally Attio, others welcome.

Preferred background

  • Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Experience connecting operational tooling (CRM, CS platforms, dashboards) in a startup environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Understands both operations and product: they've lived the gap between the two and know how to bridge it, not just one side.
  • Treats AI as a working tool, not a buzzword: they've shipped real solutions in real work contexts and know what breaks.
  • Comfortable being the first to feel the pain: they identify problems before they become problems and decide how to solve them, without waiting for a perfect plan.
  • Leads by doing: they can manage a team of 5 and still build the automation, document the process, and write the requirement for the dev team.
  • Enjoys sitting close to CS and Revenue: they want to understand how the business operates because that's where their roadmap input comes from.

Culture note

This is a role for someone who combines product mindset with operational discipline. The right Ops Lead for us doesn't wait for the perfect plan; they iterate fast, learn from failure, and ship. They're as comfortable documenting a process as they are building the automation that replaces it.
