About Company:

Company is building an AI-powered beauty platform at the intersection of skincare, education, community, content, and commerce. Our ecosystem includes our social and educational channels, e-commerce operations, brand partnerships, and a rapidly growing content engine serving audiences across the United States, Latin America, and Spain. As we scale, content has become a core part of our product, growth, community, andcommercial strategy. We are looking for a *Head of Media* to lead and organize the people, ideas, processes, and resources behind that content engine.

The Role

This talent will own the day-to-day management and coordination of Company's content operation.

This person will act as the central point between our Product and Channel Managers, Growth, Brand Partnerships, and other internal stakeholders*, translating their needs and ideas into a clear, prioritized, and executable content pipeline.

You will coordinate our internal editors and creators as well as freelancers, agencies, and specialized subcontractors, making sure everyone understands what needs to be created, the creative concept behind it, the intended audience, the objective, the deadline, and where it will be published.

This is not a technical production role and we are not looking for someone whose primary strength is operating cameras or editing videos.

We are looking for someone who combines:

Creative thinking + Copywriting + Editorial judgment + Content strategy + People management

+ Execution

You should understand the complete content-production process well enough to effectively lead

the people executing each part of it.

The objective is to build a media operation capable of producing more, better, and faster

content while maintaining a recognizable Company's voice across every channel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Leadership & Operations
  • Serve as the central intake point for content requirements from Argiria, Product Managers, Channel Managers, Growth, Partnerships, and other stakeholders.
  • Turn ideas and business requirements into actionable content concepts and briefs.
  • Prioritize requests based on business objectives, channel needs, opportunities, and available resources.
  • Maintain Company's master editorial, production, and publishing calendar.

This person should:

  • Develop strong creative concepts from business, product, educational, and community requirements.
  • Write and/or guide the creation of hooks, headlines, scripts, captions, CTAs, storylines, and creative copy.
  • Turn technical or educational skincare information into accessible, engaging, social-first content.
  • Understand what makes a strong opening hook and how to create curiosity without compromising credibility.
  • Help transform a single topic into multiple creative angles.
  • Challenge weak concepts before production resources are spent on them.
  • Guide editors and creators on pacing, storytelling, structure, visual treatment, and intended audience reaction.
  • Develop repeatable content formats and series that can scale across the organization.

You will:

  • Create clear briefs that minimize ambiguity and unnecessary revisions.
  • Match projects with the right internal or external resource.
  • Establish deadlines and expected outputs.
  • Review work and provide specific, actionable creative feedback.
  • Request revisions when work does not meet Company's standards.
  • Hold internal and external resources accountable for quality and deadlines.
  • Build a flexible external network that allows Company Media to increase capacity quickly when needed.
  • Help recruit and evaluate additional creative resources as Company grows.

You should understand:

  • Pre-production and creative planning
  • Scripts and shot requirements
  • Recording and asset collection
  • Editing and post-production
  • Graphics and visual assets
  • Voiceovers, captions, and localization
  • Review and approval cycles
  • Platform-specific formatting
  • Publishing and distribution
  • Repurposing and localization
  • You should be able to communicate effectively with specialists, understand what is realistically required to execute an idea, evaluate the final output, and know which resource to call when something requires specialized expertise.

Maintain visibility into what is:

  • Planned → Assigned → In Production → In Editing → Under Review → Approved → Scheduled → Published
  • Ensure that all supporting elements — captions, titles, hooks, thumbnails, CTAs, tags, links, and other assets — are ready for publication.
  • Content Performance & Optimization
  • Work with Growth and Channel Managers to understand what content is actually performing.
  • Identify winning topics, hooks, formats, creative approaches, and recurring series.
  • Feed those learnings back into the creative process.
  • Increase production around formats that work.
  • Improve or discontinue formats that consistently underperform.
  • Encourage structured experimentation with new creative concepts.
  • Balance short-term performance with Company's long-term editorial and brand identity

What We Are Looking For:

  • You may have previously worked as a Head of Content, Content Director, Creative Director, Executive Producer, Managing Editor, Creative Lead, or Content Operations Lead.
  • The exact title is less important than your ability to turn ideas into great content and organize people to execute them.

You should have:

  • Strong experience leading digital and social-first content.
  • Excellent creative copywriting skills.
  • Strong ability to develop hooks, headlines, scripts, captions, CTAs, and creative concepts.
  • Excellent editorial judgment.
  • Strong storytelling instincts.
  • Deep understanding of short-form content and what drives attention, retention, engagement, and sharing.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging content formats.
  • Experience managing internal creative teams and external resources.
  • Ability to give clear and actionable creative direction.
  • Ability to translate loosely defined requests into structured briefs and deliverables.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests from multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the complete digital content-production lifecycle.
  • Ability to evaluate content quality without needing to personally execute every technical aspect of production.
  • Experience operating in a high-volume, fast-moving content environment.
  • Comfort working directly with founders and senior team members.
  • Strong understanding of AI-assisted creative tools and an interest in continuously improving how content is produced.
  • Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, consumer brands, e-commerce, creator-led businesses, or digital media is highly desirable.
  • English and Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.

How We Will Measure Success

  • Success will ultimately be measured by whether Company's Media becomes a predictable, scalable content engine

Key indicators will include:

  • Content production volume
  • Publishing consistency
  • On-time delivery
  • Creative quality
  • Performance of hooks and creative concepts
  • Content engagement and reach
  • Editor and freelancer productivity
  • Average turnaround time
  • Number of successful recurring formats created
  • Repurposing efficiency
  • Reduction in bottlenecks and unnecessary revisions
  • Ability to respond quickly to new content requirements
  • Ability to scale output without proportionally scaling costs

The Person Who Will Thrive in This Role

  • You are the person who can take:
  • "We need content about this product next week."… and immediately start thinking:
  • Who is the audience? What's interesting about it? What's the hook? What's the story? What should we record? What assets do we need? Who should edit it? What versions do we need? Which channels should receive it? When does everything need to be ready?
  • You are highly organized, but you are not simply a project manager.
  • You are creative, but you are not simply a copywriter.
  • You understand production, but you are not simply a producer.
  • You understand social media, but you are not simply a social media manager.
  • You are the person who connects all of those disciplines and gets the organization moving in the same creative direction.
  • Most importantly, you understand that at Company's, content is part of the product, the brand, the acquisition engine, the community, and the customer experience.
